The speech President Obama gives is both strong and concise. He starts by stating what is being done about the terrorist group ISIL and the progress that the United States has made against it. The military took out the leader of the Somalian faction, while bringing 140,000 troops home. This is very good news on both fronts, dismantling ISIL, and getting more soldiers back home.
President Obama then breaks down what ISIL is and the atrocities that it is causing to the people in their country. "It is a terrorist organization, pure and simple and it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way".
As the speech continues President Obama displays his effortless ability of rhetoric. Keeping a wonderful tempo while going through his presentation. Stating how the United States will fight, dismantle, and bring down anyone and anything that is helping this organization. This speech was a good sign for the Obama administration, and a good strong statement from the Commander-In-Cheif.
