For the first time in the history ! (Polish Soccer ) - Szymon Owczarek

New tactics  worked ! This win put us on the first place in the group !

Polish soccer players won against Germany 2: 0 that are current world champions . This is the first time in the history of Polish team when we beat our western neighbors. Live match at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland  was watched by over 56,000  spectators .  While the match itself was not spectacular , and the statistics ( shots on goal , ball possession ) favored  Germany , finally the Poles were on top - and that's all that counts now .

Poland’s victory came thanks to two polish heroes, Arkadiusz Milik and Sebastian Mila who scored goals at the start and at the end of second half.  First goal was scored on 51 minutes when polish defender, Lukasz Piszczek, floated a ball into the Germany area, and as  german goalkeeper did not clear the ball , Arkadiusz Milik, polish midfielder, headed it to the left corner. The second goal was scored in the 88th minute, Sebastian Mila scored forcefully putting a ball in the back of the german’s net. Five minutes later, the referee whistled for the last time and polish families could start celebrating the historical win.

After the loss , The World Champions have a harder way to qualify to the European 2016 tournament in France. Germany have lost two games in the group having a 3rd place in the table.

I enjoyed your post. You wrote this in your own voice and did a great job putting the reader in the middle of the action. I felt as though I was there in Poland watching this exciting match. Obviously, this is a sport you enjoy writing about. Your choice of words, the vivid details, your analysis of the game and your summation of the hard road the World Champions will face in 2016, made for an interesting piece. Enjoyed reading it!
